The Chicago Spire

If you discuss proportion, rhythm, and nature, you are almost using
musical terms. In music, it happens and you cannot catch it. In
architecture, it happens but you can catch it.

The Chicago Spire, currently slated for completion in 2010-2011, is now
available for pre-construction purchase. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the
Spire is a unique collection of 1,194 residential floor plans all designed
within this jaw-dropping 150+ floor building. At 2,000 feet, The
Chicago Spire will be the world’s tallest residential building and the
tallest building in North America. It is being described by many
as the most significant residential development in the world.

@properties along with Savills (L&P) is marketing The Spire. With an
abundance of information at my disposal due to my familiarity with the
project and the listing team, I am able to offer you first-rate buyer’s
representation throughout the process. Our first step is to meet in
person or over the telephone and discuss your needs. Next, it’s a
visit to the Spire’s Sales Center, where we can view two unique models,
including the signature “Calatrava Gallery”, as well as view the levels of
finish and discuss the project as a whole. Finally, when you’ve made
the decision to move forward we’ll set things in motion and you’ll be on

your way to living in this work of art.

Amenities

The quality of a building has to be measured by how comfortable the
person feels within it.

The design and views of the building are without comparison. On the first
level, the concierge services provide all the resident’s requirements from
mail collection and dry cleaning to restaurant bookings and spa
appointments. A level above lies the, an energizing experience dedicated to
the physical and mental wellbeing of residents. With a spectacular pool
overlooking Lake Michigan, a gym focused on holistic well-being (with
physicians on staff) and a series of treatment rooms, residents will
experience tranquility and rejuvenation in equal measure.

Residences

This building is not created for a group or corporation. It is
created for human beings.

No two residences are quite the same at The Chicago Spire. There are
galleries, suites and penthouses, each with different floorplans and views
over the city and the lake. I had the opportunity to attend a preview at the
sales center. They have done a wonderful job, by taking photographs from a
helicopter, of showing exactly what view you’ll experience from your
residence. Each model shows a different viewpoint and floor plan and allows
those experiencing a private showing to view the not only the finish level
and size but also the views and angles that set The Spire apart from every
other building throughout history.

Location

The Chicago Spire will be built a block north of the Chicago River, just
west of Lake Shore Drive near the eastern end of North Water Street (see map
below).

The Chicago Spire development team will not only be beautifying the
skyline but will also add to the beauty of downtown. The Chicago Spire will
not only feature a beautiful plaza to allow local residents and visitors to
enjoy its spectacular architectural presence but also will have beautiful
foot path to follow into long neglected DuSable park, which will enjoy an
increased budget for maintenance and beautification provided by the Spire.
